When we pause at a word either at the end of an ayah or in the middle of it, the fathah, kasrah, dammand the double kasrah and double zammah at the end of a word are omitted, e.g.,
     اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ This is pronounced : allâhu ș-șamad (not : ș-șamad-u).
     الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ Here ar-rahîm-i is pronounced : ar-rahîm.
     رَبِّ الْعَلَمِينَ Here ‘âlamîn-ais pronounced :‘âlamîn.
     قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ Here ahad-un is pronounced : ahad.
     مِنْ سِجَيْلٍ Here sijjîl-in is pronounced : sijjîl.
Double fathah, however, is not omitted, but it is pronounced â e.g., وَخَلَقْنَكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا . Here azwâj-an is pronounced : azwâj-â.
