    Note: If this letter has fatḥah, kasrah or ḍammah it is pronounced like a consonant, i.e. as wa, wi, wu. This letter is pronounced by bringing the corners of the mouth together. It should not be pronounced like the English v which is pronounced with the upper teeth coming in contact with the lower lip.
